Two of my friends turned 21 last week so myself and another friend decided to throw a surprise party for them on Saturday. The theme was 'Glow'. We went and bought glow sticks, bands, chains and black lights and got my friend's sister to DJ and set up the strobes. All in all it was a success, they had no idea! Sometimes I wonder about what life really is about. Is it about teaching us lessons, learning from our experiences, or just trying to live one day at a time? What does it really mean to be yourself? Everyone strives to be 'accepted' by society but is the cost of conformity really worth it? A world where everyone wishes to be the same sounds like a scary place to me. Life does teach us lessons, those lessons however can either build character or tear us down. Experiences are only useful if one wishes to learn from them and the greatest test of life: the will to keep on living.
